Basic description of the Easy Logic rotary file system suggested for students in our courses, part of the guide to the main systems available in Brazil.

Lima Easy Logic

Manufacturer's description:

The Logic file system has a conductive cable for use connected to the Apical Locator making it possible to use it on motors that have the equipment integrated. The diameter of the machined wire for the Taper .05 files is 1,0 mm, among its benefits the system provides less unnecessary dentin wear in the middle and cervical thirds of the root; facilitating the negotiation of the Taper .05 files until the end of the work, without reducing safety.

Features:

  • Rotating and Reciprocating File;
  • Cross section double helix, triple helix, quadruple helix and quadrangular helix
  • Length: 21, 25 and 31mm;
  • Speed: 350 to 950 RPM;
  • CM Heat Treatment.

Composition:

  • Blister w/ 04 identical files

Lima Easy logic. In: Leite, Lorena Olegario, et al. "PRODESIGN LOGIC X HYFLEX CM: evaluation of flexural cyclic fatigue resistance." Dental Press Endodontics 6.3 (2016): 71.

  • Abstract: NiTi rotary instruments are used to facilitate instrumentation of the root canal system. Despite their favorable properties, the risk of fracture remains a problem in sharply curved canals. Flexural cyclic fatigue is associated with the curvature of root canals. The aim of this study was to evaluate the resistance to lexural cyclic fatigue of ProDesign Logic (Easy, Brazil) and Hylex CM (Coltène, USA) instruments at different angulations. The selected instruments were divided into groups according to the angulation of the simulated steel canals: 45° (10 Hylex CM and 10 ProDesign Logic instruments) and 90° (10 Hylex CM and 10 ProDesign Logic files), totaling 40 instruments. In both systems, the instruments had tip diameter 25 and taper 0.06. For the fatigue test, a standard device for cyclic fatigue testing was used. The number of cycles (NCF) and the time in seconds until fracture of the instruments occurred were recorded and evaluated. From the analysis of the results obtained in this study for the 45° angulation, there was no statistical difference between the files, both for the NCF variable and for the time. In the 90° simulation, different statistical results were obtained. ProDesign Logic instruments showed higher NCF and time than Hylex CM files, being more resistant to cyclic fracture in this simulation. When comparing the performance of the Hylex CM files at 45° and 90° angulations, statistically significant differences were observed. This result showed that the change in angulation influenced the behavior of the instrument. For the ProDesign Logic files, the results for this analysis were not statistically significant.
